Corporate Supporter Spotlight: Audible.com

Although Audible has been a sponsor for many years, this year it elevated its status to a true partnership by more than doubling its support, and committing to be one of two launch sponsors for The New Yorker Radio Hour, launching in Fiscal Year 2016. Audible invested deeply in our national podcasts, and also provided sustained support for local podcast versions of The Brian Lehrer Show and The Leonard Lopate Show.

First Podcast Upfront

On April 29, 2015, WNYC joined NPR and WBEZ to host the first-ever podcast upfront for advertisers during Advertising Week. More than 500 people attended Le Poisson Rouge for a presentation of public radio podcasts that showcased the best in the space and encouraged advertisers to lay in campaigns for the coming year. The event featured Jad Abumrad (Radiolab), Ira Glass (This American Life) and Glynn Washington (Snap Judgment). New York Public Radio also presented new podcast ad effectiveness research from Edison that was commissioned specifically for this event.

New York Public Radio gratefully acknowledges the top 50 sponsors whose support made its unique programming and offerings possible in Fiscal Year 2015.
